Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating the theft of a fuel tanker from Honomū last month.
The custom made 500 gallon diesel fuel tanker was on a double-axle trailer on Old Māmalahoa Highway near the Honomū transfer station and had a red Honda fuel pump. It was rusted silver with a pump and nozzle toward the back and had diamond-shaped placards with “1993” on the front and side.
Police ask anyone with any information about the theft or the location of the tanker to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
