NextEra Energy Resources is a large wholesale electricity supplier based in Juno Beach, Florida. NextEra will be merging with Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc.  The two mergers will hold four meetings on the Big Island to discuss benefits, changes and provide the community with more information on the merge between Hawaii Electric Light and NextEra.

In a recent media release, NextEra announced that the meetings will “introduce residents to NextEra Engergy and the benefits of the companies' pending merger as well as to provide embers of the public with the opportunity to provide input directly from company officials,”

The first set of  meetings will take place on April 13 from 5-8pm at Hilo High School cafeteria and also at the Pahoa High School cafeteria. The second set of meetings will be on April 14 from 5-8pm located at the Kealakehe High School cafeteria and the Hawaii Prepatory Academy's Village Campus Dining Hall.
