If you haven't been using coconut oil in your every day beauty routine, then it's time to jump on the bandwagon! Not only is coconut oil a great option for cooking, it has many other health properties that you can work into your every day beauty routine. Coconut oil is an affordable addition to your beauty routine and has a ton of uses.  Plus you will smell coconut-y and delicious!

1. As a Hair Mask

Coconut Oil is amazingly moisturizing for your hair. Dampen or wet  your hair in the shower. If your coconut oil is in a solid consistency, rub a few tablespoons in your hands to warm it up and liquify it. Massage the oil into your hair. Leave the coconut in your hair for as little as 20 minutes, or even overnight for luxurious, moisturized hair.

2. As a Makeup Remover

Yes, it even works on waterproof mascara! Put a little on some tissue and gently rub your makeup off your eyes. The coconut oil breaks down the wax in the makeup and leaves your face and eyes moisturized.

3. As a Face Moisturizer and Eye Cream

There is a reason why so many skin-care products contain coconut oil! It naturally keeps your skin soft and fights wrinkles. Take a small amount of coconut oil and rub it in your hands to warm it up so it turns into a liquid. Lightly massage onto your face and underneath your eyes.

4. Homemade Toothpaste

Coconut oil naturally cleans and whitens teeth! Make your own coconut-oil toothpaste that has no harmful chemicals or foaming agents like regular toothpaste, and it's also really inexpensive.

Homemade Coconut Oil Toothpaste:

6 tbsp coconut oil
6 tbsp baking soda
25 drops essential oil (like peppermint or eucalyptus).
1 tsp stevia (optional)

5. Shaving Cream

Natural shaving cream with no weird chemicals. Plus you will moisturize your legs while shaving.

6. Rubbed on Scalp Daily to Stimulate Hair Growth

The use of coconut oil can protect and moisturize the scalp and locks in moisture to help grow healthy hair.

8. To Protect your Skin in the sun

Use coconut oil as an every sun screen protectant. If you're going to be in the sun for long periods of time, make sure to project your skin with sunscreen. This is just a great every-day way to protect your face and skin from the sun.

9. But if you do get a sunburn, use coconut oil to relieve your burn!

Coconut oil has so many healing properties for the skin. If you get a sunburn, rub aloe and coconut oil for healthy healing.

10. Lip Moisturizer

Try using natural products like coconut oil to moisturize your skin, hair and even your lips! Just rub some on your lips with your finger a couple of times a day for moisturized lips.
